Abstract

This paper investigates the objective prerequisites and potential pathways for establishing stable regional production and distribution networks between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People’s Republic of China amid global economic volatility. The relevance stems from rising logistical vulnerabilities, the pressing need to disperse manufacturing capacities, and the growing regionalization of value chains. The study aims to substantiate the directions for deepening industrial cooperation, geographically decentralizing production stages, and enhancing supply chain robustness. Methodologically, the research relies on systemic, comparative, and statistical analysis, synthesis, and scenario forecasting. It examines the dynamics of bilateral trade and economic ties, investment patterns, transport infrastructure conditions, and the main barriers to industrial collaboration. The significance of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway, border infrastructure upgrades, industrial parks, logistics digitalization, and human capital development is highlighted. Drawing on initial forecast estimates, the paper proposes cooperation targets through 2030 and a set of practical measures to establish sustainable production clusters in Kyrgyzstan. The authors conclude that the bilateral relationship should gradually shift from a predominantly trade-based model toward deeper industrial, technological, and innovation-driven partnership.
